About us

We are based in Upstate, SC, we provide “in home” and “in kennel” quality obedience training options.

We understand that every client has a different idea in the approach to training.  We use many different techniques, methods, theories, resources and tools to develop the best environment for learning - in a fun & interactive way.  We will develop a training plan collaboratively, and after our free consultation we will be able to provide insight to what method may work best for your situation, as every canine, household, and clients’ needs and training objectives are uniquely different.

For in person training, we work around your schedule – training in the home, community and public settings, we want to create real life experiences for learning.

For in kennel training, we work with the dog many times throughout each day they are with us.  We create real life scenarios to train in, to include training in public settings, social and environmental settings based on your input.

Our goal as trainers, is to create a healthy, happy, life long relationship between you and your dog.  We will teach you how to read and communicate effectively with your dog, the benefits of leadership, what it means to extend and receive trust and respect.  The relationship developed is life long and profound!

We offer a 50% discount on many programs for multi dog households!

  • Before CCA

Before Clemson Canine Academy, Jeremiah and Olivia operated and managed the business, Mountain Canine College. Mountain Canine College has been in business for over 20 years in Evergreen, CO and has served hundreds of dogs and their humans. Mountain Canine College has trained Service Dogs, Advanced Obedience Dogs, Personal Protection Dogs and Police K9s. Both Olivia and Jeremiah learned in depth detail; obedience, tracking and personal protection and as well as interpreting physical behavior from Paul Wekstein. Paul Wekstein, Master Dog Trainer, with over 40 years of experience, he has worked with over thousands of dogs. Paul’s experience includes 15 years of training police dogs with the Boston Police Department K-9 unit, Los Angeles Police Department K-9 unit and the Evergreen Patrol K-9 unit.

  • Jeremiah

Jeremiah has been working with dogs professionally for over 5 years. During this time he has trained Obedience and Personal Protection dogs while studying under Master Trainer, Paul Wekstein.

Under the training of Mr. Wekstein, Jeremiah has learned Personal Protection, specifically the mechanics of what makes a decoy excellent at their job. What this means is Jeremiah has learned how to tap into the dogs natural protective instincts and hone those in whilst continuing to keep the natural happy family dog a dominant trait as well.
